Lawn and yard care in Manhattan, NY.

Lawn care in Manhattan, NY runs the same flat $50/hr per person rate as the rest of our coverage — mow, edge, trim, hedge, leaf cleanup, debris haul. Newark crew, mower and bags included.

Manhattan pattern

Lawn in Manhattan, in practice.

Manhattan jobs match the building — UES and UWS co-ops need freight-elevator booking and terrace rinses on the schedule the board approves; Harlem and Village brownstones get stoop and basement work; Tribeca and Chelsea high-rises run terrace and apartment cleanouts. Walk-ups in Inwood and Washington Heights add cleanout work without elevator help.

Pre-war elevator buildings, walk-ups, brownstones in Harlem and the Village; high-rise condos in Tribeca and Chelsea; co-op towers on the UES and UWS.

Newark to Midtown is roughly 15 to 25 minutes via the Lincoln Tunnel.

Independent benchmarks

Why $50/hr is the honest lawn number.

Lawn questions

Common lawn questions.

Do I need to provide the mower?

No. We bring our own — 21-inch deck, self-propelled, mulching plus bagging modes. If you have specific requirements (ride-on for a big lot, electric for a noise-restricted condo), tell us at booking and we adjust.

How often should I have the lawn mowed?

Weekly during peak growth (May through July) keeps the cut at one-third blade height — the rule that produces a thicker, weed-resistant lawn. Biweekly works in spring and fall. We can lock in either schedule.

Where do the leaves and clippings go?

We haul them. Leaves get bagged in heavy contractor bags and either hauled to a municipal compost site or — if your town has curbside pickup — staged at the curb for collection. Clippings get mulched onto the lawn unless you'd rather we bag them.

Can you handle big hedge trims and shaping?

Up to about 12 feet, yes. Privet, boxwood, yew, and arborvitae are routine. Higher than that we tap a tree-service partner — different gear, different insurance.
